Info | I grew up in the neighborhood of Lincoln Heights, near Chinatown in Los Angeles, and started working as a young boy selling flowers, tossing newspapers and cleaning any backyard I could find.
I graduated from Salesian High School where I was lucky enough to play football and baseball, and participated in student government.
In order to serve during the Obama administration, I passed a rigorous vetting process that included the Justice Department, Homeland Security, the FBI, and the White House. It was my honor to serve our 44th President and the men and women in uniform at West Point as the first Hispanic American to be appointed to the board. It would be my honor to serve you as well.
I currently serve on the Los Angeles County Library Commission, and the United States Army Advisory Board for Military Recruitment.
Earlier this year, I made history by becoming the first man to become a member of the Pio Pico Woman’s Club in its 106-year-old of existence.
I have received various awards and recognitions throughout my career including being recognized by the Vietnam Veterans of America, the Hispanic American Airborne Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the 11th Airborne Division Association, and numerous city and county acknowledgments.
As a lifelong Democrat and a logical frontrunner, I look forward to working side by side with all elected leaders in Downey, Norwalk, Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Commerce, La Mirada, Hacienda Heights, Hawaiian Gardens, La Habra Heights, Lakewood, Montebello, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, Whittier-Los Nietos and Buena Park to bring stability and leadership to the region.
I plan to work and convey state and federal assistance for our highways and roads, bring new business and growth, and work with all elected leaders to improve and develop state-of-the-art resources in the Senate District 32 to acquire the advanced technology needed in our schools for our future leaders as I have done in the city of Pico Rivera.
My father Harold was a warehouse union member, and I was also a union member.
I am married to my wonderful wife Rose and have five children, with two sons who have graduated from West Point and are currently serving in the military on active duty.
My platform with the State Senate District 32 will be to work on infrastructure issues, education and safety at our schools, public safety, health care, housing, working with our veterans on various programs while cleaning our environment of pollution with clean air and water initiatives. Working with local, state and federal government on homelessness, recruitment for improved policing and fire personnel in the district.
I welcome you to view my website and use it as a way to keep up-to-date on the progress of our campaign.
Together we can make a difference and make Senate District 32 a healthier place to live, work, and raise a family. Thank you for your support.
