| Info | Tony began his career handling juvenile matters for the office, and then prosecuted difficult child abuse cases for a few years. As the office grew in size, Tony then represented Anoka County in litigation in the State and Federal courts, and practiced in numerous areas on behalf of the County. Tony has advised County departments on data practices, real estate matters, general liability and Worker’s Compensation issues, labor and personnel issues, and has litigated condemnations for the highway department, mental illness commitments, and child support and paternity cases.
Tony was named Volunteer of the Year 2006 by Lawyers Board of Professional Responsibility, in 2010 received the Public Attorney Award of Excellence from the Minnesota State Bar Association, and named a Lawyer of the Year in 2013 by Minnesota Lawyer.
He has a long history of community involvement, serving as past President of the Anoka Ramsey Community College Foundation Board; Board of Directors at Fogerty Ice Arena; member of Anoka Technical College Advisory Committee; actor at Lakeshore Theater and Landmark Center; former board member of the Northeast YMCA; and former coach and judge for the Minnesota High School Mock Trial program. Tony has also donated many meals for fundraising events for several Anoka County charities.
Tony grew up in St. Paul and received his B.A. from College of St. Thomas, and his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1979.
