ABOUT BRYCE HEALY

Commissioner Bryce Healy was elected to the Office of the Commissioner of School and Public Lands in November 2002. Commissioner Healy’s office manages over 800,000 acres of state trust land and has over 1,500 leaseholders. Before moving to Pierre, Commissioner Healy was the Director of Field Services for the South Dakota Farmers Union. There he focused on building and enhancing producer owned value-added processing cooperatives. In addition, Commissioner Healy oversaw member services in which he worked closely with farmers and ranchers.
