InfoShe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and English from Drew University, and two Master’s Degrees, one in Theological Studies and the other in Pastoral Counseling, both from Moravian Theological Seminary. She is currently an adjunct Professor at Northampton County Community College but has taught at both Lehigh County community College and Lehigh. She will begin work as a labor organizer for Service Employee Industry Union, Healthcare in 2021. She is a mother of three boys, who was raised in Bethlehem Township, and currently lives in Hanover Township.

Tara serves a number of organizations that focus on environmentalism and open space/land preservation. She is the former a local coordinator for Food and Water Watch, and is currently the liaison to the Farmland Preservation Board and Open Space Advisory Council. She chairs the Northampton County Energy, Environment and Land Use Committee and is a member of the committee of the same name at the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania. She sits on the Boards of the Wildland’s Conservancy, Northampton County Conservation District and the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority. She spear-headed the creation of an ad hoc Committee to promote the production, manufacturing and processing of industrial hemp as well as the Karst Geology Advisory Council to address concerns for the Bushkill Creek.

In addition to her service to Northampton County, Tara is a freelance writer, author and illustrator, her most notable work including “All Ducks are Birds (but Not All Birds are Ducks).”
