| Info | Ahmed was born in Pakistan and moved to the suburbs of Chicago when he was 2 years old. He has lived within the 7th District for almost half of his life, and can think of no other place to call home. Serving his community has always been an ideal he has aspired to, and he believes there is no better time than now to step up to the plate to represent the needs of his neighbors and friends by running for Congress.
Ahmed currently works in healthcare as a Regional Director of Compliance, where much of his time is devoted to investigating potential fraud, waste, and abuse of government resources. Previously, he worked as a Field Representative for the U.S. Congressman of California’s 9th District. During that time, Ahmed had the opportunity to meet with constituents first hand and hear their concerns regarding issues in their district. His time working with the Congressman taught him the importance and value of having strong ties to the community and understanding the issues the people were concerned about most.
Growing up, Ahmed's parents stressed the importance of working hard and giving back to his community. He understood early on the value in helping his neighbors and those in need to ensure his community prospered. Ahmed wants to continue that same work ethic to grow and serve the great people of this district.
Using his previous experiences and knowledge, Ahmed promises to work hard to represent the people of the 7th District and be the voice for the future.
