InfoIn November 2001, Commissioner Campbell was elected the 55th Mayor of the City of Cleveland. As Mayor, she is committed to making a good city great again by making Cleveland stronger, smarter, and safer to increase the population by three percent by 2010. She and her Administration are working diligently to:

Develop a stronger economy that helps Clevelanders build wealth.
Create a smarter workforce that is prepared for prosperous jobs.
Make Cleveland a safer, healthier, more livable City.
Already in 2003, the City of Cleveland has initiated Core Cities, a $27 million bond-financing project to fund $9 million in housing development and $18 million in economic development, as well as a tax increment financing plan to expand the success of Euclid Avenue and East Fourth Street entertainment district. A $4 million grant from Oracle will enhance high school students' computer skills. Further, the City is building economically vibrant neighborhoods with strong services, including obtaining funding to change the pattern of community re-entry. This is only the beginning of great progress in the City of Cleveland.

A resident of this fine City, Mayor Jane is married to former City Planner Hunter Morrison, who is now redesigning Youngstown. They have two teenage daughters, Jessica and Katie.
