InfoPeter Dill was born in Seattle in 1955, and received a B.A from the University of Washington in 1980, as well as a J.D from Notre Dame in 1984. In 1996, Peter and his family moved to Idaho to support the family farm. Enjoying Idaho’s natural beauty and their neighbors, Peter, Susan and their three children fell in love with the land and threw themselves wholeheartedly into the work of a third-generation farm and running a family business. Peter’s law practice continues to take him across Washington State, helping Peter understand Idaho’s neighboring issues. Peter’s care for “all of creation” is evident in his love of people and the places they live.

His 2018 run for Idaho Governor is motivated by a desire to help find a promising path to a bright future for Idaho. Entering the Democratic race for this critical Idaho post, Peter brings an innovative perspective to tackling Idaho’s biggest issues, making decisions with future generations in mind. A conservative Democrat vs. a Clinton Democrat, Peter is an open-minded, proactive candidate who would be highly electable in the Idaho general election.

A team player, he is committed to working across political aisles, moving beyond sound bites to non-partisan solutions. His first run for office, Peter would consider his Citizen-Governor status an asset, bringing fresh vision and a real-world view of Idaho’s needs.

Peter shares, “As Governor, I would look forward to finding common ground among diverse points of view and working to bring people together. I am passionate about improving Idaho’s education, health care and job market by identifying out-of-the-box and fiscally-responsible solutions. I am also keenly interested in caring for the earth and helping people in need.”
