1. 101,000 seems unbelievable for such a large country. 2. Totalitarian regimes (of any sort) tend not to release information that makes them look bad.
Don't even try to explain it. He's the enemy of logic.

Notice how all ur stuff is based on assumptions, none of it has a source or data to back it up. None of u are bringing up a story of the Chinese Gov lying about it and are simply doing the "They're putting covid on random dead people" in reverse.
U ever consider the fact that MAYBE a gov that can snap their fingers snd do whatever, probably can just handle a virus that BEGAN in their borders better. Enforcing masks, stay at home laws, etc.

I could think of some elected in the Western World that probably wish they were able to just not count whatever cases they deemed asymptomatic
Some have tried. COUGHDeSantisCOUGH

There are a large number of articles, papers and citations in the references here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_misinformation_by_China I'm sure you'll just dismiss them, but...
See how easy it is? Yet nobody else did it. From a quick glance It doesn't look like that has them suppressing cases, just the typical "Its not that bad" schpiel govs did. That combined with the really strict lockdowns they did can explain lower cases. They could be suppressing cases, but I cannot go on assumptions

The World Health Organization provides the following statistics for confirmed Covid cases - I added a few neighboring nations to provide some context https://covid19.who.int/region/wpro/country/cn:
China - 131,315
North Korea - 0
Mongolia - 388,190
South Korea - 620,938
Burma - 530,272

Not to belabor the point, but if you check the link I provided and click on China, scroll down and take a look at reported deaths last April. Fuel for conspiracy theories.

Some of this might depend on what you think the "we'll lock things down if it gets past a point" approach incentivizes if you're running things in a city or part of a city.
If you're running things in Xi'an, do your prospects of future advancement improve or get worse as a result of your area getting locked down for a few weeks.
As for stats and numbers.
Since July 1st, 2020 (almost 18 months): China has officially had 18378 cases. Taiwan has had 16541 cases. Iceland has had 25235. Andorra has had 21970.
The populations of those 4 places: China 1.4 Billion, Taiwan 24 million, Iceland 345 thousand, Andorra 77 thousand.
So over a period of 18 months, Iceland and Andorra have had more Covid cases than China despite the population difference (1.4 billion to 345 thousand or 77 thousand). And Taiwan almost matched China's last 18 months over a 2 month period. Taiwan reported 14000 cases in May/June 2021.
As for other Asian countries run by Communist parties, Vietnam didn't have their 50,000th cumulative case until July 2021 and is now close to 1.7 million. Laos didn't reach 3000 cumulative cases until July 2021 and is now over 110 thousand.
I guess 102 thousand cases total would be a little more believable if almost 80% of the 102 thousand cases didn't happen over a period of 5 weeks around February 2020? That's not even getting into China claiming 4 COVID deaths since mid-April 2020.

I mean, none of that says that China is lying. I can only go on info that we have: and as of now the info doesn't point to "China lying about cases", u can say its sus, but i mean unless u got evidence I can't take the word of someone else.

You cited China’s numbers. Seems like you were willing to take their word.

Well, until we cite a press release where China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs admits they've been fuding the numbers they report to the WHO, we can't criticize Mr. Carter or anyone else E chooses to support.

That or any source that would disprove it, you are all basing ur bs on assumptions. I base everything on FACTS and Data. This is the data we have so unless u have ANYTHING that actually says these numbers are wrong, u got nothing. This is literally the Trumpsters going "THEY ARE BLOWIN UP COVID NUMBERS"
E never fails to amaze with his stupidity. And to be involved in every single argument on this website. And to stretch out every single disagreement. But hey, what else are you supposed to do with downtime?
HOW STUPID OF ME TO USE DATA AND NOT BASE MY ARGUMENTS ON ASSUMPTIONS. VERY BAD OF ME
