State Delegate (2018-present)

Hi, I’m Kelly.

I’m a mother, advocate, and policy-maker. As a lifelong member of the Virginia Beach community, I understand the struggles of my constituents because I’ve lived through many of those same experiences myself. It’s not easy, that’s why I’m here.

As your Delegate, what guides me is the belief that the central function of elected officials is to improve the lives of their constituents — of all humans. That is why I’m running for re-election in 2021, because Virginia Beach is my home, my family, and my community. I want to keep helping and serving others.

Engaging with my community has always been my passion, first as an elementary school teacher and now as a small business owner of a local real estate company specializing in military family relocation and advocacy. What can I say, I was born and raised wanting to help others.

As the daughter of a Navy sailor, I moved to Virginia at a young age and have made this community my home. I’m proud to have completed all of my education here in Virginia and I’m glad my three girls can do the same.

Since being sworn in, I’ve been able to continue taking action and further help our community. I am grateful for the opportunity and am committed to creating a better future for my three daughters, Tessa, Sophie, and Scarlett.

I promise to fight tirelessly to improve the quality of life for the constituents of Virginia’s House District 21 through policy and action. My commitment to my community is what sets me apart because Virginia Beach and the Chesapeake Bay is more than a community, it’s home to my family and me. It would be my honor to continue advocating and serving you.

In November 2017, Virginians elected me to the Virginia House of Delegates representing District 21. In the four years, I’ve held office, I’ve sponsored 497 bills. I remain guided by the belief that the central function of elected officials is to improve the lives of their constituents. I’m running for re-election in 2021 because I remain dedicated to the service of others.
