InfoDenise Moehlman, a 15-year veteran in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, is a hands-on criminal prosecutor. She has tried and won hundreds of cases putting murderers, robbers, and sex offenders behind bars. Denise has an excellent trial record. She is not afraid to take on big cases involving powerful or influential offenders. Justice is what she seeks.

In addition to being tough, Denise is fair and understands the true meaning of justice. On behalf of the District Attorney, Denise has fought a number of cases in numerous courtrooms around the Los Angeles County area. She is fair in evaluating and disposing of all issues. Denise does not hesitate to seek the maximum sentence for violent or serious offenders, yet has dismissed charges when the evidence lacks credibility. Denise recognizes the value of drug rehabilitation for drug users, mental health treatment for the mentally ill, and preventative programs for youthful offenders.

Prior to her career as a criminal prosecutor, Denise worked in private law firms. Denise litigated a variety of civil cases; from complex multi-million dollar oil spill cases to simple auto accidents. She has experience with real estate matters, contractual disputes, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, appellate practice, insurance issues, environmental matters, and frauds.

When Denise worked as an auditor for Main Hurdman in Detroit, she uncovered fraud in the Detroit and Ohio CETA programs. Also, as a criminal investigator for the public defender in Washington D.C., while conducting field investigations and interviewing witnesses, Denise quickly learned that the evidence is not what it always appears to be at first blush.
