| Info | Carlo Leone was elected to the House of Representatives from the 148th District in Stamford in November 2002. Carlo is the Vice-Chair of the Public Safety Committee and a member of the Commerce Committee and the Energy & Technology Committee. Carlo was appointed in March 2002 to the Communications Technology and Interstate Commerce Committee of the National Conference of State Legislators.
Representative Leone has lived in Stamford for the past 16 years and is an active member of the Stamford community. He previously served on the Zoning Board of Appeals as an Alternate Member from 2001 � 2002 and he completed the Stamford Citizen Patrol Program - a course designed to improve community relations between Stamford Citizens and the local Police Force. Carlo is a member of the Figli di Rose (Sons of Rose) Italian Club in the Springdale section of Stamford, which is one of four major Italian Clubs in Stamford. Carlo also is a Mentor to a high school student in the New Canaan Horizon program - a nationally recognized mentoring program assisting underprivileged children from middle school to high school.
In addition to serving in the General Assembly, Carlo maintains his position as a Financial Analyst/Control Specialist for Xerox Corporation. He has a B.S. in Business Administration having graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sacred Heart University, and also an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Sacred Heart University. Carlo is a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served on active duty from October 1981 to February 1987 in the US and European Theater.
Carlo and his wife Karen were recently married on June 15, 2002. In his leisure time Carlo is an avid reader, an outdoorsman who enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and softball. Both Carlo and Karen enjoy walking and spending their leisure time at Stamford's Cove Island Park.
