| Info | JOHN M. GANNON of Wilmington, Windham County, Democrat, was educated at Groton School (1980), Middlebury College (B.A. 1984), and Suffolk University Law School (J.D. 1987). Admitted to the Vermont Bar in 1988, John was an associate at Paul, Frank + Collins in Burlington, Vermont (1987-1990) and then joined the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. (1990-2001). In 2001, he joined the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. In 2004, he also became President of the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. He was Executive Producer of the documentary "Trick$ of the Trade: Outsmarting Investment Fraud," which won a Telly Award in 2010. He returned to Vermont in 2011 and with his wife Crista runs Happy Dog Farm, LLC, a small poultry producer. John serves on the Wilmington Select Board (2015-present) and is a board member of The Wilmington Fund VT, Inc. (2012-present), Wilmington Works, Inc. (2013-present), and BetterInvesting, Inc. (2011-present). He is a member of Rotary Club of Deerfield Valley, the Wilmington Trails Committee, the Vermont Mountain Bike Association, and the Vermont Farm Bureau.
