InfoKIMBERLY JESSUP of Middlesex, Washington County, Democrat, was born in Michigan, moved to Vermont in 1999, and became a resident of present town in 2007. Kimberly has worked as Advisor to the President for the Association of Vermont Independent Colleges since 2009. Before that, she was at the Institute for Sustainable Communities (2001-2005) and Vermont Public Radio (1999-2001). Prior to moving to Vermont from Washington, D.C., Kimberly advocated for the Academy for Educational Development, Overseas Development Council, Environmental Defense Fund, and other nonprofits. She also served as a congressional aide to the U.S. House Banking Committee and the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Kimberly is a former chair of the Roxbury School Board, coach for Rumney School Girls on the Run teams, Middlesex robotics project leader, and Four Winds environmental education teacher. She graduated from UC Berkeley (1987) with a BA in Development Studies and from Columbia University (1994) with a Master of International Affairs. She is married to Ben Jessup and has two children who attend U32 Middle and High Schools.
