Info | Mamadou Ka is a long-time resident of St. Boniface and a professor at the University of Saint-Boniface, where he teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
He is the Past President of the Société franco-manitobaine (SFM) and President of Amicale de la Francophonie Multiculturelle du Manitoba (AFMM). He also acted as Vice Chair and Chair of the Manitoba Ethnocultural Advisory and Advocacy Council (MEAAC), from 2008 to 2011.
Mamadou was recognized for his outstanding work in the community when he was presented with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
As a political scientist, Mamadou appears regularly in a number of media outlets to provide insight on current events. He is a political analyst for CBC/Radio-Canada French language radio and television where he discusses politics at all levels of government, as well as African politics. Mamadou is also a regular columnist for La Liberté, a local French language newspaper.
Mamadou is proud to call St. Boniface his home and is eager to be a positive, hard-working voice in the Legislature that will deliver a better future for St. Boniface and all of Manitoba.
