| Info | Kevin is a Korean-American immigrant who was raised and educated in Southern California. Kevin earned his BA degree from University of California Riverside with major in Psychology. He earned his JD degree from Thomas M Cooley Law School in Michigan. Due to his strong desire to serve for the state of California, Kevin extended his education in California where he earned his LLM degree in Taxation. After admitted to the state bar of California, Kevin began to work for the residents in Koreatown and Downtown LA.
While he was in college and law school, Kevin continuously worked for students as a teacher's assistant. He listened to students with their concerns in education and helped improve their academic performance. As an assembly member, Kevin wants to listen to students again to improve education opportunity and to deal with student loans.
Working for clients with all aspects of legal issues, has taught Kevin the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively advocate on behalf of the residents of Los Angeles. He recognizes the most critical issues facing our communities from immigration to criminal case. Kevin will fight to decrease crime rate to ensure public safety, encourages small businesses to rebuild economy, and increase life standard by providing a collaborative problem-solving approach and dedication to the public wellness.
As an owner of Kevin H Jang, A LAW CORP, Kevin fully understand the problems and concerns of small business owners. Kevin wants to utilize his entrepreneurship experience in helping jumpstart the local economy. He will bring together the community and business leaders to help revitalize Los Angeles area.
In addition, Kevin has nominated for RISING STAR in California Super Lawyers magazine for his work as an attorney. Kevin was also selected as a delegate of the California Democratic Party, and appointed to California Democratic Party Standing Committee. He has served as a member of KCLA, KABA, La County Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and Central district Bankruptcy Attorney Association.
