Info | Daniel Mark McNeely was first elected to the 18th Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories in November 2015 representing the constituency of Sahtu.
Mr. McNeely was born in Fort Good Hope, NT where he partially completed elementary school followed by attending Grollier Hall residential school. He attended high school at Samuel Hearne Secondary School in Inuvik.
Mr. McNeely worked his way up the rakes in becoming the first Native Regional Oilwell Driller during the ESSO Norman Wells early 1980’s expansion days
Mr. McNeely represented the FGH Metis Local and sat on various regional and Community Council groups, they include; Sehteh Regional Council, Community Futures, Fort Good Hope community council before working in regional government around the Sahtu including 4 years on the board of the Sahtu Land Claim Negotiating team. He also served as a board member to the NWT Power Corporation and NWT Development Corporation.
Mr. McNeely has previous experience as a business owner providing equipment services to the GNWT, industry and private sectors over a 15 year term. He also worked as project management consultant in recent years.
Mr. McNeely currently lives in Norman Wells with his wife and three kids. In his spare time he enjoys travelling and being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
