| Info | A political veteran in his own right, Mario Tremblay served as Mayor of Longue-Rive for eight years (2001-2009), and knows how to relentlessly defend his constituents’ interests. He would now like to take his mission to Parliament Hill.
Deeply concerned by the socio-economic situation in the sprawling riding of Manicouagan, Mario plans to breathe life back into the region by developing its economy, fostering job creation and retention, and improving the standard of living for every household. He is also passionate about defending the interests of seniors, as well as about the environment and Aboriginal communities.
Mario currently works for a company specializing in the sale of recreational vehicles. An active member of his community, Mario has served on several boards of directors, including the Native Alliance of Quebec, the Centre de santé et de services sociaux de la Haute-Côte-Nord and the Tourism Development Committee. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Société d’aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) de la Haute-Côte-Nord and of the Longue-Rive, Portneuf-sur-Mer et Forestville (LRPMF) Lions Club.
