InfoBorn and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Spencer Rocchi attended the University of Waterloo, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time in university, he was a student–athlete as a member of the varsity Warriors football program. After graduation, he accepted a contract to play professional football and coach youth teams for the Odense Swans American Football Club in Denmark.

It was during his time in Denmark that Spencer became more familiar with green energy, as the country was already beginning their shift toward renewable resources. It was also during this time –while serving as a youth coach– when he found a passion for teaching.

After the season concluded, he enrolled in Niagara University’s Education program, where he completed a Masters degree in 2010. He was hired right out of teachers' college to teach Kindergarten in Seoul, South Korea. He has since been teaching in the far north, the three most recent years being in Nunavut.

Spencer looks forward to working with the people who call this incredibly sensitive ecological environment home, and ensuring that everyone who calls Nunavut home has access to quality healthcare, education and food security.

The Green Party of Canada is excited to have Spencer Rocchi as our candidate in the riding of Nunavut.
