Joe Baca Jr. is a former teacher at Rialto High School and currently substitute teaches in the Rialto Unified School District. Joe has a deep commitment to improving and providing opportunities for young people.
After completing college, Joe became a Correctional Officer for the California Department of Corrections. Seeing so many young men in prison inspired Joe to change careers. He went to work as a Probation Officer hoping to influence young people who were starting to get into trouble as juveniles.
In recognition of his work, Joe Baca Jr. was honored by the Fontana Youth Accountability Board and Fontana Middle School. The Fontana Mayorís office awarded him a certificate of recognition for his outstanding community service.
Joe Baca Jr. has organized free baseball coaching clinics for local youth and serves as a member of the San Bernardino Youth Accountability Board.
After his experience in the Probation Officer, Joe came to understand that helping young people get a good education was the best way to give them options to keep them out of trouble.
Joe earned a Masterís Degree in Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino and currently is working on a second Masterís Degree in Education. Joe Baca Jr. is a graduate of Eisenhower High School.
Joe and his wife Jennifer live in Rialto. He has one daughter, Kaylie, age 13. His hobbies include golf, baseball, art, and reading.
