Info | (wife of Tony Strickland)
Christian junior high school teacher
Audra won one of the most closely watched races in the 2004 primary election. Audra won the election to replace her husband Tony Strickland as the Republican representative for 37 Assembly district. Since there are no Democrats on the November ballot Audra is virtually already an Assembly member.
Before deciding to run for political office, Audra was a school teacher at the private school at Temple Christian School in Ventura, and she has been a school board member. However; Audra is not a complete stranger to Sacramento politics. Previously she worked for former Assembly members, Curt Pringle and Bill Campbell. She is a qualified candidate for the State Assembly and a great addition to the Republican Caucus.
2002-2004: Member, Ventura County Board of Education
2009: Early Primary Candidate for Secretary of State in 2010 (Withdrew)
2009: Early Candidate for Ventura County Treasurer-Tax Collector (Disqualified)*
2010: Candidate for Ventura County Board of Supervisors (Lost; 38.5%)
