Sam attended the International Baccalaureate Program at Coral Gables Senior High School, where he was a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, Advanced Placement Scholar, member of the National Honor Society, and was active on the school’s debate team.
Sam earned his Bachelor’s degree, double-majoring in Politics and Economics, from New York University, where his attendance was made possible by a merit scholarship; while there, he made the Dean’s list, earned membership in the International Honor Society in Economics, and continued to be active in debate.
This May, Sam will earn his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, which has the unique distinction of having been founded by Presidents Jefferson and Madison—the author of the Declaration of Independence, and the father of the U.S. Constitution. The school’s distinguished alumni include President Woodrow Wilson, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and seven members of the current U.S. Senate. For the past year, Sam has also worked as an Articles Editor for the Virginia Tax Review, the nation’s leading student-run journal of tax law.
Sam has already been extended an offer to join one the nation’s top law firms, whose ranks have included Democratic Presidential nominee Adlai Stevenson and U.S. Senators Warren Rudman and Charles Schumer.
