Info | James A. Roe (July 9, 1896 - April 22, 1967) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from New York.
Roe was born in Flushing, Queens. He graduated from Cornell University in 1917. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War I. He was chairman of the Queens County Democratic Committee from 1939 until 1952. He was a delegate to the 1940 Democratic National Convention, 1948 Democratic National Convention, and the 1960 Democratic National Convention. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 until 1945. He was elected to Congress in 1944 and served from January 3, 1945 until January 3, 1947. He died in Hollywood, Florida.
