| Info | Representative Marc Gergely, Democrat - White Oak, has brought exceptional leadership to the residents of the 35th District since first taking office in 2003.
A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley, Marc graduated from McKeesport Area High School in 1987 and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He acquired important experience in project management through his position at the David Lawrence Convention Center. Marc gained legislative skills as an assistant to both Senator Buddy Belan and current Senator Sean Logan.
In 1996, at the age of 26, Marc was elected to the McKeesport Area School Board and became one of the youngest school board presidents in the state. Gergely served on the Board for six years - six years when McKeesport Area property taxes were NOT raised.
A lifelong Democrat, Representative Gergely was first elected to represent the 35th District in 2002 and was reelected in 2004. He serves on the Democratic Policy, Labor Relations, Environmental Resources and Energy, Games and Fisheries and Professional Licensure Committees of the State House.
