He has been a leader in the nonprofit sector serving as an Executive Director as
well as
a Director of Development. He is a resident of Germantown, Tennessee
and grew up in Memphis. He attended Christian Brothers High School and the
University of Memphis. From 2008 to 2012, he was elected as an Alderman in
the City of Germantown and also serve

support to organizations such as Memphis Area Association for Retarde

Citizens, Shelby Residential Vocational Services, United Cerebral Palsy
Associations, Special Olympics, Leadership Germantown and Camp
Celebration for children with disabilities.
He has received numerous recognitions and awards including Top 40 Under 40

Thousand Points of Light Volunteer, Germantown’s Home Town Hero Award
and awards from the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster for children with
disabilities. Mark’s goal as a Commissioner is to be a fair and effective leader
and to address the challen
ges faced in Education, Public Safety and Government
Efficiencies.
He
is married to Diana and they have two children. They are
members of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
