Info | Aaron Regunberg was elected to House District 4 in Providence in November 2014. Prior to his election to the General Assembly, he worked as an activist and education advocate. He co-founded the Providence Student Union, a nationally recognized youth nonprofit that supports young people in civic engagement and has received the Rhode Island Foundation’s Best Practices Award and the ACLU’s Civil Libertarian of the Year Award. In that position, he helped students, parents and educators come together to win change in our schools, including healthier school lunch options, more bus services for children, repairs for crumbling school buildings, more student-centered learning, and a reduced emphasis on high-stakes testing.
Representative Regunberg graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a B.A. in Political Science.
He lives in the Mount Hope neighborhood of Providence. Representative Regunberg was a founding board member of the Billy Taylor House, a youth enrichment and workforce development program in Mount Hope
