InfoElected Experience: This is my first run for elected office.

Other Professional Experience: Founder and former Executive Director, OneAmerica; Author; Distinguished Fellow, UW School of Law; Distinguished Taconic Fellow, Center for Community Change; Chair, We Belong Together; worked in economic development, women’s health, and civil and human rights

Education: MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University; BA from Georgetown University

Community Service: A White House Champion for Change, Pramila has been deeply involved in Federal, State, and Local issues, including Co-Chair of the committee to select a new Seattle Police Chief and member of Mayor’s Committee on Income Inequality, enacting a path to a $15 minimum wage.

Statement: We live in Washington’s most diverse, dynamic region. As a champion for civil rights, public safety, and living wages, I work every day to celebrate and nurture our communities. I am a public school mom, a civic volunteer, and proud advocate for women, young people, immigrant families, and neighborhood businesses.

We need passionate leadership in Olympia committed to improving opportunity for all. This means fully funding our schools and investing in programs that help every child succeed. It means progressive tax reform that rewards entrepreneurs and workers, not out of state corporations. It means securing stable transit funding that doesn’t burden working people, and fundamentally reducing income inequality. And it means standing up for all of our civil, immigrant, and human rights.

With your vote, we can do great things together!

Sole Endorsements: 37th District Democrats; Washington State Labor Council; Washington Conservation Voters; National Organization for Women, WA PAC; SEIU 775, 1199, 925, 6; UFCW 21; Washington Education Association; U.S. Senator Patty Murray; County Executive Dow Constantine and former Executive Ron Sims; County Councilmember Larry Gossett; Seattle Mayor Ed Murray; former WA Supreme Court Justice Charles Smith; retiring State Senator Adam Kline; community leaders Estela Ortega, Diane Narasaki, and more!
