3/57 Graduated from Birmingham-southern College (AL) with degree in Business Administration. Worked way through while being sole support of wife and two children. Two more children born subsequent to college years.

1957 Selected as �Outstanding PiKA of Year�. Moved to Florida.

1970-71 Attended Stetson University College of Law.

Career as insurance agent and financial consultant since 1957. Avocation as professional handwriting analyst since 1962. Seventeen years as adjunct professor of Finance at local college. Retired in 1986.

1984 Chosen one of �Outstanding Finance Instructors in USA� by Chicago Board of Trade.

1984 Founder and Past President and CEO of The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC). This organization is now considered the world�s premier professional association for the financial planning industry.

3/90 Founder of T.H.R.O., Inc. (Throw the Hypocritical Rascals Out!), a national non-profit corporation dedicated to term limits and elimination of deficit spending.

9/90 TIME magazine �Hero of the Week�

6/91 Originator and driving force to draft Ross Perot for president

5/92 Became the first Irish Chieftain inaugurated in Ireland since 1648.

8/92 Along with fourteen others, was one of the original founding members of the national Independence Party (name changed to the Reform Party in most states, except New York, then back to Independence when Reform Party imploded).

1994 Candidate for Governor of Florida. With less than $80,000 (most of the others spent millions), only incumbent Governor Lawton Chiles and Jeb Bush got more votes in a field of nine candidates

1998 Reform Party candidate for Florida�s Fifth Congressional District. Became only candidate ever to meet Florida�s �impossible� 3% petition requirements. With only a $27,000 war chest received the highest number of votes (74,127) of any third party congressional challenger in the USA since 1948

7/99 Elected National Chairman of the Reform Party, USA

Misc.: Low-profile/high-energy pragmatic idealist. Six-gallon blood donor. Author of five books on financial management, including �THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO ESTATE PLANNING�, a Book-of-the-Month Club selection in 1978. Direct descendent of Niall of the Nine Hostages, High King of Ireland from 377 to 404 A.D. Elected in 1991 as world-wide Clan Chieftain of the Geoghegan Clan (grandfather �Americanized� our name to Gargan).

Internationally recognized lecturer on financial planning and handwriting analysis.
