InfoChristina Marie Gagnier

Christina Gagnier is a small business owner and technology lawyer from Chino, CA, and a Democrat who is committed to bringing a fresh start to California’s 35th Congressional District.

Chino Roots

Christina is proud of her Chino roots. Christina’s Dad, Chris, owned a small business, Better Homes Realty, on Central Avenue. Christina’s Mom, Kathy, worked in public education for over 30 years for the Azusa Unified School District. Christina participated in a local Girl Scout troop, danced and played Chino Recreation basketball.

In 1994, after a six-year battle with Hodgkin’s disease and melanoma, Christina’s Dad passed away. Christina was twelve years old. It was the hardest thing that her and her Mom ever had to face, but they picked themselves up and carried on, relying on their network of extended family and friends in the community.

Christina had the example of a hard-working Mom who took care of her Dad as he was dying and had to forge forward as a single mother raising her and working full-time.

Christina stayed close to home for college, attending the University of California, Irvine, where she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in Political Science and Sociology and served as student body vice president. Christina worked her way through college, balancing school, volunteering and jobs in retail, selling women’s clothes at Macy’s, and working the front desk at a Doubletree Hotel.

Christina earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco and received her Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. While in graduate school, she worked for Lawrence Lessig at Stanford University and at the non-profit Mobilize.org.

Christina is a partner in the firm Gagnier Margossian LLP, leading its technology and Internet practice. In 2006, Christina and her business partner Stephanie started their business as a public affairs firm with $87.00 from a refund on an AT&T account deposit and have built a business from the ground up that serves clients around the globe right from the Inland Empire. Christina is a sought after advisor on issues like children’s privacy and consumer rights online.
