| Info | Paul Richards is a life long resident of Athens County. He graduated in 1967 from Glouster High School, and in 1968 married his wife of 35 years, Barbara Roback Richards. Paul was born 7th in a family of 12, therefore he learned at a very young age how to go to work and help to support the family. He traveled to Michigan following graduation and lived with his sister in order to begin working at General Motors. He was then drafted to the United States Army in 1968. After serving 2 years in the Army, where he was a specialist 5th class in chemical, biological, and radiological warfare, he moved back to Ohio and began work for Lempco Industries. Shortly after, he and his wife were blessed with 5 girls, all of which are now grown. He began working construction, including general contracting, in 1973, and continues to work in that capacity. He is now a Job Superintendent/Foreman for Ohio West Virginia Escavating Company. He and his wife reside in Glouster.
When one thinks of how they may know the name Paul Richards, it is usually in the same sentence as a civic organization. Paul is a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Eagles the Elks, American Legion, and AmVets. He is a Past Governor of the Glouster Moose Lodge, and has served as District President, District Secretary, and is currently the Vice President of the Buckeye 192 Moose Legion. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Trimble Township Waste Water Treatment District.
