| Info | Jeremy McPike grew up in Prince William County, Va., he attended Gar-Field High School, and then worked as a construction laborer and eventually as a construction superintendent to pay for school expenses at George Mason University. He holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s of Public Administration, where he was selected for the Northern Virginia Public Service Fellows Program.
For the last 20 years, Jeremy has served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department (DCVFD), where he is an Assistant Chief and has been honored with Life Membership.
Jeremy has worked for the City of Alexandria for the past 22 years, currently serving as the Director of General Services. In this role, he works to make sure public building projects come in on time and on budget.
As a member of the Senate, Jeremy serves on five legislative oversight committees – General Laws and Technology, Rehabilitation and Social Services, Local Government, Transportation and Rules – as well as seven commissions and boards – Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission, the Virginia Board of Workforce Development, the Joint Subcommittee to Evaluate Tax Preferences, the Commission on School Construction and Modernization, the Manufacturing Development Commission, the Secure and Resilient Commonwealth Panel and the General Assembly Building Redesign Committee.
Jeremy and his wife Sharon live in Dale City with their children.
