| Info | Earnest Flowers spent his most important formative years growing up in Queens. His affection for others was fostered in childhood games in St. Albans park and his commitment to service blossomed as he arrived back from College, with a B.S. in Economics, to live in Rosedale.
His Father is a Vietnam Veteran (Purple Heart), and Minister from the hidden jewel of the South, Brundidge Alabama. Pastor Flowers recently retired after almost 40 years of service, his last church being in Laurelton. Earnest’s Mother hails from the beautiful island of Jamaica. Earnest likes to quip that he grew up eating Collard Greens and Callaloo.
Earnest Flowers has worked on behalf of various political organizations for well over a decade. In these roles Earnest fosters relationships that includes but is not limited to schools, businesses, community boards, block associations, tenant associations, development corporations and non-profit organizations.
Mr. Flowers enjoys working with longstanding community groups and takes pride in encouraging emerging groups as well. Earnest Flowers does not just identify community issues. He helps create solutions for them. Community outreach is a passion of Earnest’s and community concerns including but not limited to youth development, health care, education, small business, housing, and social services are paramount to his platform.
Earnest is Married to Dr. Alicia Massop-Flowers, a Pediatrician.
