InfoBrian Masse is a Canadian politician. He is a current member of the Canadian House of Commons, representing the riding of Windsor West for the New Democratic Party.

Masse received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1991, and subsequently did graduate-level work at the University of Windsor. He has also worked with the Association for Persons with Physical Disabilities, and has been program coordinator of the Multicultural Council of Windor and Essex County.

Masse was elected to the Windsor city council in 1997, and re-elected in 2000. He was first elected to parliament in a by-election on May 13, 2002, called after longtime Liberal cabinet minister Herb Gray retired from the riding he had held since 1962. Masse defeated his Liberal opponent, Richard Pollock, by about 2,500 votes. He was re-elected over Pollock by a greater margin in the 2004 general election. In 2002-03, he supported fellow Windsor MP Joe Comartin for the NDP leadership.

Masse is currently the NDP critic for Auto Policy, Canada Border Services, and Customs. He is also a member of the all-party "Border Caucus" focusing on Canada-U.S. trade relations, and has promoted environmental issues in parliament.

Recently, Masse has fought to end the practice of allowing Canadian corporations to deduct pollution fines from income taxes.
