Andrew P. Miller served Virginia as Attorney General twice, from 1970 to 1977, both times as a Democrat under a Republican governor. In 1976, he was awarded the Wyman Memorial Award, given to an "Outstanding American Attorney General." Miller was also Virginia's Democratic nominee for the United States Senate in 1978, where he was narrowly defeated by John Warner (R-VA). Miller attended Princeton University and the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Law Review. He also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Korean War. Miller currently works for Powell Goldstein LLP, in Washington, D.C.
