Info As a life-long resident of Everett, I have seen the good times, the bad times and everything in between. As a small business owner, I know first-hand what it’s like to need to balance a budget and create as much work as possible for my employees. For the past decade, 2 years on the Common Council and 8 years on the Board of Aldermen, I have worked hard to represent the best interests of the city that I love and have always called home.

We face numerous challenges in Everett. Our police and fire departments are understaffed, our roads are in disrepair, we have surplus property that faces a tough road to redevelopment and our schools are under increasing demands that we never could have imagined just a decade ago. Each of these issues requires a partner in the State House who will fight for every dime of funding we can get. With local aid and school funding always in danger of being cut, we must have a Representative who has the experience necessary to lead.

In just 8 years on the Board of Aldermen, my colleagues have seen that leadership, twice electing me as their President. As your representative, I can promise that you will see that leadership at the State House. Our challenges may be many, but in meeting these challenges I see a city that can thrive.

I humbly ask for your vote in the Democratic Primary on March 5th. If you would like to get involved in our campaign, please visit www.JoeMcGonagle.com or call me at 617-389-5105.

Thank you.
