Info | Rev. Mark Holland is a fourth generation native of Kansas City, Kansas and a third generation United Methodist Pastor in Wyandotte County. He is married to Julie Solomon and they have four beautiful children: Daniel, Gabriel, Luke, & Esther (pronounced Estaire).
Mark is currently serving his second term as Commissioner At-Large District One of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/KansasCity, KS. He is the chairman of the Mayor’s Task Force for Healthy Infrastructure and the Standing Committees for Finance and Community Development/Block Grants. He served as Mayor Pro-Tem May 2009 to May 2011.
Mark is the Senior Pastor at Trinity Community Church, where he has been preaching since 1999.
Mark received his B.A. in Philosophy and B.S. in Anthropology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas; his Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado; and he received his Doctor of Ministry from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri. He currently serves on Saint Paul’s Doctoral Program Advisory Board and the Kansas City Kansas Community College Advancement Council.
He earned the 2009 Emanuel Cleaver II Community Service Award; The 2007 Wyandotte West, Best of the West, “Best Clergy”; and the 2005 Rotary International Paul Harris Award.
