| Info | My name is Victor F. Green Sr. and I want to be your mayor. I approach this seemingly daunting task with one thing in mind, that if I am elected, that wont make me your overseer, it will make me your employee. I want to work for you, the citizens of Calumet City. Here is a brief synopsis of what I stand for:
All business, meetings, and activities of city government, operates by the litmus test of the benefit of the citizens and nothing else. In short we need to put the citizens of calumet city above all else.
Municipal funds are not to provide excessive personal gain via pensions, salaries and other perks for city officials.
With the increase of rental property in the city, we will hold outside private investors personally responsible for the activities of their tennants.
In order to prevent and discourage increasing gang activity, we need to provide a constructive outlet for our children, such as a youth center.
Let's give our police force every opportunity to excel in their occupation while providing sensitivity to the citizens they serve.
There exists a hidden wealth of Senior Citizens living in Calumet City. With their insight and knowledge, we can understand where we have been as a community, and comprehend the path we need to forge. Let's bridge the gap between the wisdom of our seniors, and our youth.
