Married Gov. James M. Cox (D-OH) 9/15/1917.
Died 11/6/1960 in her home in Oakwood, outside Dayton OH. She died two days before the 1960 election. She apparently had been smoking in bed and fell asleep. Though she was awakened by the fire and fled to the bathroom, she died there of asphyxiation.
