Info | Gayle Goldin is the strategic initiatives officer for Women’s Fund of Rhode Island, where she oversees advocacy efforts, manages the Fund’s political and economic self-sufficiency initiatives, and runs the Women’s Policy Institute. Previously, she served as a consultant to a wide range of non-profit organizations, assisting with grassroots advocacy efforts, grant writing and qualitative research. She began her career in Rhode Island working at a national organization focused on increasing access to health care for the uninsured.
Gayle graduated from McGill University with a B.A. in English Literature and earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Tufts University. She is a trained facilitator and a graduate of the Women's Policy Institute. She has long been interested in public policy, and was instrumental in the effort to introduce paid parental leave parity legislation in the early 2000s and temporary caregiver insurance legislation in 2012. She is deeply committed to improving outcomes for children in foster care, quality public education for all children, creating economic development opportunities, protecting Rhode Island’s most vulnerable populations and ensuring that diverse voices are included in the legislative process.
Gayle serves on the boards of Adoption Rhode Island and Temple Emanu-el. She and her husband, Jeff Levy, live on the East Side of Providence with their two sons: Zack, 11, and Jonah, 8.
