InfoKay Floyd is a dedicated public servant who wants to continue that service as your State Representative in District 88. Kay has the experience needed to lead in the District she’s called home for more than 17 years.

Kay was educated in the Oklahoma public school system and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors degree in psychology and minor degrees in political science and philosophy. She obtained her law degree from the University of Oklahoma and after two years in private practice, Kay went to work as an Assistant Attorney General serving in both the civil and criminal divisions.

For the past 21 years, Kay has served as a State Administrative Law Judge and a Special Municipal Court Judge for Oklahoma City. In addition to her judicial duties, Kay worked part time for six years in the Senior Citizen Division of Legal Aid and has also taught as an adjunct professor at OSU-OKC. For 11 years, Kay has worked on the Board of Directors for Justice Alma Wilson SeeWorth Academy, a local, non-profit school which serves 485 at-risk youth.

Kay also works as a volunteer on the Oklahoma Council of Administrative Law Officials, the Oklahoma Bar Associations’ Women in Law committee, Legislative Monitoring committee, and the Government and Administrative Law Practice committee. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Lyric Theater in Oklahoma City.

Kay is an independent thinker and a hard worker who believes we need more than “consolidated” government, we need smarter government. As your State Representative, Kay will bring the qualities she has learned from her work experience and from her civic involvement and she will:

Work to retain the jobs we have while also finding and creating new jobs
Find real solutions to ensure Oklahomans have affordable, quality health care including a health insurance program for Oklahoma Veterans
Continue to improve our schools so future generations will learn the skills necessary to compete in a modern economy
