Info | Credo Amouzouvik is a naturalized U.S. citizen from the West African nation of Togo. He was raised in a family of seven, one brother and five sisters.
The same family values that Tennesseans hold dear were instilled in the young Credo from a very early age; these included trust in God, respect for his elders and those in positions of authority, hard work, helping others, believing in yourself, standing up for what you believe in, and standing up for those who can’t stand for themselves. He learned from a very early age how to keep a clean house, cooking food, as well as a loving nature. Credo, like many other Tennesseans enjoys swimming, fishing, and hunting.
His journey to American citizenship began when he was admitted to Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska in 2000. Upon hearing the news of the horrific attacks on America on September 11th, 2001, while a student, he became determined to help America during her time of need, and so enlisted in the U.S. Army.
While on deployment with the U.S. Army in Iraq, he critically wounded. After undergoing several surgeries and months of painful rehabilitation. He has recovered fully.
Credo has continued to serve his country since retiring from the U.S. Army by helping those in need through the Homeffa Foundation, a non-profit organization named after his mother. Through the group, Credo helped provide direct humanitarian aid to the citizens of the nation of Haiti, after the country was struck by devastating earthquake in 2010. He also provided flood recovery assistance locally in Clarksville, Tennessee, after the great flood of 2010 by by organizing teams to help elderly citizens rebuilding the lives after being devastated by the catastrophic flooding.
Credo has a bachelors degree in economics and management, and is currently studying for his second degree at Austin Peay State University, majoring in Political Sciences with legal studies as concentration. He lives in Clarksville, Tennessee, with his wife Yashica and their children.
