InfoBio: Born in Reno in 1981, Sam spent his first several years moving from place to place in the Reno / Sparks metropolotan area. At age 12, he moved out to Fernley where he attended middle and high school, graduating in 1999. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno studying anthropology and computer science. After graduation he was accepted into the graduate program at Texas A&M University. He spent a number of years as a nautical archaeologist specializing in Near Eastern archaeology. In 2009 after finishing work on a master's degree, he moved back to Northern Nevada and accepted a position as an IT Professional with the state. He currently lives in Carson City.

About Me: I try to be a fun loving guy who doesn't take life too seriously. On my days off you'll usually find me at a basketball court or golf course. When the weather gets warm enough I'll be taking my motorcycle out more, cruising around Lake Tahoe or Virginia City are two of my favorite activities. I'm a self-affirmed nerd as well as an avid reader and sci-fi fan. I am a non-denominational Christian who believes that government and religion should stay out of each other's way.

I am part of a concerned group of citizens who believe that governing should be kept out of the hands of career politicians. Our group is comprised of three core people and many others who lend a hand when they are asked. We are people, like you. We all work full time, we have families, mortgages, and the stress that goes along with each. When you ask any of us if we truly know what it is like to live and work as the vast majority of Americans, we can look you straight in the eye and tell you that yes, yes we do.
