Hello, my name is Sandy Johnson of Manhattan, IL and I am the Republican candidate or the Illinois State Senate, 43rd District.

I grew up in Frankfort back when it was one huge prairie. My four siblingsand I graduated from Lincoln-Way High School (now Central) in new Lenox. While at LW I developed a strong interest in business. So instead of going directly to college, I instead went to work in Chicago’s Loop in the commodities industry. In time, I realized that a college education was necessary in order to further my career. So I continued working in the Loop by day and attended Joliet Junior College then Lewis University at night until completing my Bachelors in Business Administration.

By this time, business became part of my personal fabric. Upon graduatingfrom Lewis, I began the second phase of my career in financialservices, which proved to be my passion. As my career developed, I learned firsthand what it takes for businesses to work efficiently and to succeed. Simply put, it has to make fiscal sense or it isn’t done. And it’s this discipline that will serve me well, if elected to Illinois’ State Senate.

Senate District 43 deserves a strong voice to truly represent them in Springfield; someone bold and unafraid; pro-business, pro-growth, pro-markets. A capitalist. That’s me; I’m that person. Sandy Johnson. I am not the status quo. I’m the conservative alternative to the status quo. I’m you.

I believe in Illinois. I love Illinois. Because, at the heart of it, Illinois is home – from the joyful noise of our cities to the serenity of our small towns, like my Manhattan. And like our home, this election is personal. And this is why I am running for the State Senate to represent the 43rd District.

God bless Illinois!
