Info | My story is a quintessential Minneapolis story. A product of the Minneapolis public school system and a beneficiary of the city’s parks and after school programs, I’ve never stopped feeling the need to give back to the community that has given me so much. The son of a single working mother in a strong Union household, I learned the importance of standing up for what’s right early on, no matter how powerful the opposition. This district is my home, and I am a proud supporter of my community. I strongly believe in tackling challenges, not studying them, and continue to be an outspoken advocate for issues that affect the people who live here, such as economic growth, early childhood development, affordable housing, and community development.
I know that in this district being an elected official is about being a part of a community and answering to friends and neighbors. I have seen the results of my years as a community activist on the streets, in the parks, and most importantly in the lives of my own neighbors, family and friends. I truly believe that the voices in our community are far more important than the politics in St. Paul. Together, we can take action and induce change.
