| Info | A lifelong resident of Indiana’s sixth congressional district, Brad Bookout has extensive experience creating jobs and fighting for economic development in eastern Indiana, both in the private business sector and as a public servant.
After graduating from Ball State with a degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice, Brad led his family’s home building and land development companies for nearly 15 years. He is a certified master homebuilder by trade, has built nearly 500 new homes and created hundreds jobs for Indiana families.
Brad believes strongly in service to one’s community and has led by example as the past president of the Burris Parent Teacher Student Organization and past member of the Delaware County Redevelopment Commission and Delaware County Finance Committee.
Brad also represented his community as an elected member of the Delaware County Council at large including two terms as president of the council with unanimous bipartisan support. He has also served as a liaison and consultant to the Delaware County Commissioners and County Sheriff’s Department.
More recently, Bradʼs focus has turned to creating new jobs in our district. He served as assistant director of business development for the Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance, where he was instrumental in bringing new business and new jobs to our part of Indiana. He has put together economic development incentives that have helped to create over 1500 new jobs and brought over $200 million in new investment to Indiana. Notable companies that Brad has helped attract to the area include Progess Rail, Brevini Wind, Mursix Corp., Magna Corp., Bell Aqua Culture and DSE Trucking.
As Brad travels throughout the district to meet with voters, his campaign message is simple. It’s about three things: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs! And given his background and track record, he knows what it takes to help turn our economy around. This is why we truly need Brad Bookout to represent us in the United States Congress.
