InfoNeil Anderson was born and raised in the Midwest. He grew up working alongside his father in the family business installing floors. During the Summer, Neil would work with his grandfather, Dr. Ray Anderson, at his Veterinary clinic in Nebraska.

After graduating from Assumption High School in Davenport, Neil went on to college at Iowa Central Community College. Shortly after, Neil transferred to the The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. While at the University of Nebraska, Neil tried out, as a walk-on, for the football team. Out of 372 student athletes, Neil was the only one to make the final team and join the team roster.

While at the University of Nebraska, Neil met his best friend and future wife. Neil and Brandi were married in 2003. A year later, they were blessed with a son, Steel. The Anderson family enjoys camping, playing sports, fishing, and doing everything as a family.

Shortly after getting married, Neil and Brandi moved back to the Quad Cities to further Neil's education to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. It was there that Neil joined the Maysville Volunteer Fire Department. After joining as a volunteer, Neil realized his true calling in life - serving the public as a firefighter.

Neil went on to obtain his Paramedic license and joined the Moline Fire Department in 2006 were he is still serving today.

Neil Anderson decided to run for State Representative out of concern for the future of his state, country and family. Neil wants to restore a sense of public service, fiscal responsibility, family values, and business sense in Springfield.
