| Info | Born and raised in Washington County, Georgia, Representative Jimmy Lord has been representing the needs of his hometown and surrounding counties since 1976. He is the Representative of House District 142, which covers Washington and Jefferson Counties, as well as parts of McDuffie County. He is presently serving on several House committees including: Health & Human Services, Insurance and Regulated Industries. Representative Lord is also a member of the Mason’s and Lions Clubs.
A 1954 graduate of Harrison High School, he later graduated from the John A. Gupton School of Mortuary Science. From 1968-1976, he served as the Coroner of Washington County. Presently, when not performing his legislative duties, he is a businessman and a funeral director.
He and his wife Fronie have been married for a number of years and been blessed with two daughters, Kathy and Rhonda. The Lords attend a Baptist Church in their hometown.
