He is also continuing his membership services to the State Institutions and Property Committee. Butler has also added new committees to his membership list as well, and is active on the Appropriations and Economic Development & Tourism Committees.

Born and raised in Carroll County, Representative Butler went on to graduate from Auburn University, where he earned a degree in Public Administration. In his time outside of the Gold Dome, the Vice Chairman is self employed as a real estate appraiser. Butler has two children, Blake, 21, and Sydney, 9.
