| Info | Ken Kim grew up in Seoul, Korea and has lived in Toronto for the last 30 years. He graduated from the Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1969. Ken has six years of small-business experience, having run a convenience store. He also spent 15 years working as a manager of food/sundry wholesaler. For the last 6 years, Ken has been the Chief Operating Officer with the Ontario Korean Businessmen’s Association.
Committed to helping communities and volunteerism, Ken has always believed in helping others. He, his three daughters and his late wife worked as volunteers helping young children and stay-at-home mothers. Ken has also been involved in nominating volunteers for the Ontario Volunteer Award for the last 5 years. These experiences and interactions with ordinary citizens and stakeholders alike have taught him the importance of input from hard working families and taxpayers when it comes to government policy.
Having come to Ontario from Korea, Ken knows first hand the struggles and challenges new Canadians face, and he is well acquainted with the concerns of hardworking Ontario families. When elected he plans on being a strong voice at Queen’s Park for new Canadians and Ontario’s growing ethnic communities.
