InfoSteve Clark is a dedicated and committed MPP for the hard-working Leeds-Grenville community. He is known as someone who always puts his constituents first.

Steve was first elected as Mayor of the City of Brockville when he was 22 years old, gaining the distinction of being the youngest Mayor in Canada. He served the people of Brockville as their Mayor for three terms during which he was also the President of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. Steve also worked in the media and Internet development for 14 years with the Brockville Recorder and Times newspaper and RipNet. Following this, Steve served as the executive assistant for the highly respected long-serving Leeds-Grenville MPP Bob Runciman. Prior to his own election as Leeds-Grenville MPP, Steve was the Chief Administrative Officer for the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands.

A strong believer in education and physical fitness, Steve also helped raise $1.3-M for the Thousand Islands Secondary School Track Facility, one of the largest fundraising accomplishments for a public educational institution to date in this region. This state-of-the-art facility now attracts thousands of athletes to the community each year.

Concerned about the direction Ontario’s economy is going, Steve thinks the McGuinty Liberal government does not understand what it is to be a hard working Ontarian. McGuinty has little respect for your money you send to Queen’s Park. When elected, Steve wants to provide tax relief for Ontario families, balance Ontario’s budget, and get back to the days Ontario was an economic engine.
