| Info | Edward Yaghledjian immigrated to Canada in 1980 with his parents, two sisters and the family dog, a toy poodle named Boris. Most of his life was spent in the idyllic town of Markham but the love for country living compelled the move to Uxbridge 5 years ago.
He is a graduate of York University with a degree in Math & Finance as well as a certificate in Negotiation & Conflict Management from Harvard University. He spent many years as a financial planner within a major insurance company. He was and continues to be very active in Armenian community of Toronto and served two years as controller of the Canadian Armenian Business Council.
His concern for all peoples and interest in the environment was instilled in him and nurtured from an early age. This ideology was the allure and the motive for the subsequent move to Canada for the family. It is the need to recapture this ideology that motivates Edward, hence the foray into politics, where he can champion the Green Party agenda. What began as a minor interest in politics during the last Federal election has became a major desire to participate and help create a Green Party that can turn Canada into a role model for the world once again.
